A Letter to a Friend

This week Holley has encouraged us to write a letter to one of our dreamer friends. I will be honest it has been difficult to choose just one! 🙂 I have been loved and prayed for and blessed by this community of women in so many ways….some day I want to take the time to write a letter to each of you….and even that doesn’t seem like enough! But for today I want to lift up my dreamer buddy Jenn and share with you why she is such an amazing woman.

Dear Jenn,

I can’t tell you what an honor it has been to get to know you these past few months. I think I posted one day on FB that when I see a picture of you I think of one word – JOY.

It is the look that is always on your face.  A look of joy despite the most difficult of trials you have faced with your family.  In the midst of the pain you have continued to find ways to encourage me, lift up others and be that light.

God’s light.

It shines so brightly through you….can you see that?

Can you see the impact that you are having on those around you….the people that know you well and the people that are just meeting you? It is such a gift and I don’t know that you realize how valuable you are!

You are selfless and put others needs before yours. As I write this you are in the process of packing up your home so that you can move to be closer to your family….so you can serve them better.

You have a servant’s heart. God created you in this special way and you embrace it. I love that!  And even though you could step back and claim (and rightfully so) busyness with just those responsibilities…you don’t.

Because you have a dream. A dream to help other women learn to come alive in Christ. You have a passion for sharing this life-gift you have been given….and so you are starting a weekly bible study to lead others through this path of dreaming.

I am learning to stretch myself because of your example. Learning to give to others even when I am tired…learning to chase after dreams, even when “life” seems to be too much.

You my friend are a treasure. God put you in our group for a reason and I am so so blessed by you! Thank you for being an example – even when maybe you don’t think you are. Thank you for being a light, for trusting in God’s perfect plan….it encourages me to do the same.

I hope that you know how special you are, how loved you are, and how grateful I am today for you.

Many hugs and much love!

Kristin

**Letter writing is a lost art isn’t it?  If there is one person you could write a letter of encouragement to who would it be?? Do it today and be a blessing!! And if you want to read more – jump over to Holley’s blog and see what the other dreamers are saying!!**
